Family Coalition Party of Ontario Privacy Policy

The Family Coalition Party (FCP) is committed to protecting your privacy. Your personal information (including name, mailing address, phone number, e-mail address, and membership number) is stored using secure technologies through our central office in Hamilton, Ontario. The FCP adheres to strict policies to prevent any unauthorized use. Even though the FCP has taken significant steps to ensure that your Personal Data is not intercepted, accessed, used, or disclosed by unauthorized persons, you should know that the FCP cannot completely eliminate security risks associated with Personal Data.

We receive personal information through our website, direct mail, field service representatives, and telephone. In all instances, personal information is voluntarily submitted by you. The information which you provide is then used to send you FCP related items, such as: the IMPACT newsletter (via regular mail or electronically, if requested), supporter surveys, direct mail, publications, affinity and promotional product information and updates, petitions, and event information and registration. The information is not used for any other purposes.

For online transactions (donations and/or memberships), we request only the information necessary to complete the processing of that transaction and provide a tax receipt and/or membership card. As a registered provincial political party, we are required by law to pass along our users' personal information to Elections Ontario. The FCP will only provide the information that the law requires us to. We may also use the information to contact you ourselves regarding your donation.

We do not, under any circumstances, sell or exchange personal information which we have collected from you. We only provide information to third parties on a strictly confidential basis, to distribute newsletters, surveys and letters on our behalf.

The FCP may organize petition campaigns both online and/or through signature collection on paper. The names and addresses collected on these petitions, whether signed on-line or in person, are presented to the designated politician or body to whom the petition is addressed. The FCP may also choose to send information about itself to individuals who have signed a petition, but under no circumstances will personal information on a petition be exchanged, sold or given to third parties.

Access to all personal information is restricted to FCP offices, elected or appointed officials, and authorized agents only – such as, FCP registered constituency associations and FCP candidates, and only information that is relevant to their electoral district is given.

Occasionally, the FCP may provide information about other organizations through our newsletter or online links. The FCP does not take any responsibility for the privacy policies of these organizations, and encourages users to review the privacy policies of such organizations.
